Having worked closely with RADAQUA on projects in Australia and China in the past, Rod Missen, Managing Director of RADAQUA contacted Technolab as his team was working with a client based in China. Quan Ying (Fujian) Technology Co. Ltd were developing a 2 staged multi species recirculation system. The facility was going to be predominantly built for the commercial grow out of Coral Trout and Grouper. RADAQUA were building the facility using their expertise in RAS technology systems.

The project was started in 2013 and stage one was completed in 2015. The facility is a 500 Tonne annual production facility with a twin quarantine RAS system and twin grow out system consisting of 72 60M3 tanks. Our client requested for each production tank of the system to have the measurement of dissolved oxygen and for the system to control the optimal measurement point by delivering the exact amount of oxygen using PID control.  Emergency oxygen was also to be available in each tank.  Alarms for oxygen and level will be notified to the operators via an overarching PLC system by OxyGuard.  In all, there are 7 OxyGuard Pacific Systems looking after the facility.
